2009 Cancer Center Business Summit
Industry Survey: How Are You Planning to Cope with Today’s Economic Realities in Oncology?

The economic realities of today’s cancer care environment are affecting all providers. Among other things, reimbursement is declining on a unit of service basis; costs are increasing; new technologies and pharmaceuticals are being introduced; and mandates for demonstrated quality are more pronounced. As community oncology experiences this significant shift in the economics of cancer care, the Cancer Center Business Summit Annual Survey seeks to gauge how providers are currently responding to these new economic realities, and what they are planning to do in the next 1-3 years. The results of this 2009 Annual Survey will be presented at the Cancer Center Business Summit on October 8 & 9, 2009 at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas, and will be published in an industry journal.
